MotionCam Pro is built to keep your work on your device. This policy explains the limited information the apps use to deliver camera features, and the choices you control.

Your footage stays yours

Captures, edits, settings, and optional metadata are created and stored locally or in a folder you choose.

No ads or tracking

We do not run advertising, behavioural analytics, or cross-app tracking in the MotionCam apps.

Clear permission choices

Camera access is essential. Microphone access records video audio; location and motion metadata are optional.

01 / OVERVIEW

Our approach is local-first.

This policy applies to MotionCam Pro, MotionCam Pro Trial, and MotionCam Labs on Android and iOS (the “Apps”). You do not need an account to use them. We do not receive your photos, videos, audio, GPS coordinates, camera settings, or capture metadata. Your content stays on your device or in the storage location you choose unless you decide to share it.

In short: MotionCam is a camera and post-production tool, not a cloud service. We do not sell personal information or use your content for advertising.

02 / PERMISSIONS & DATA

Permissions are used on your device.

The Apps use the following information only to provide the feature you select. We do not receive it.

  • Camera: required to show the viewfinder and capture photos and video.
  • Microphone: used to record audio with video. It is required on iOS and optional on Android. Recorded audio stays on your device.
  • Location: optional; adds GPS metadata to captures only when you enable it.
  • Motion sensors: optional; create gyro and motion metadata for stabilisation workflows when enabled.
  • Photo library: optional on iOS; lets you save rendered photos and videos to Photos.
  • Settings and device information: presets, storage choices, available cameras, formats, storage space, and battery state help the Apps work safely.
03 / SHARING & PURCHASES

Nothing leaves your device unless you choose it.

The Apps do not include advertising, behavioural analytics, or cross-app tracking. We do not collect or sell personal information through the Apps.

You may choose to share a file, download a LUT or other resource, connect to a device on your local network, or open a community, support, or other external link. The recipient or service you choose may handle information under its own privacy policy.

Google Play and the Apple App Store handle purchases and licences. We do not receive your payment card details or store-account credentials.

04 / YOUR CONTROLS

You control your content and metadata.

  • Manage permissions in Android or iOS Settings.
  • Turn off GPS saving before capture, or remove metadata before sharing a file.
  • Delete captures, exports, LUTs, profiles, and settings from the App or your selected storage location.

Your content and preferences remain on your device until you delete them. We do not provide cloud backup or synchronisation, so we cannot retrieve, edit, or delete your files. Protect your device, backups, and any metadata you choose to share.
